Aboriginal Essential Skills Guiding Team
AESGT is a group of individuals who work within the Aboriginal Skills Employment Training Strategy (ASETS) and are passionate about literacy and learning. We are an organization who collaborate together working within the BC/Yukon regions. The AESGT is committed to building our own internal capacity on Essential Skills and alternatively keenly driven to sharing our ideas, program models, resources, successes and best practices for the benefit of the communities who we work for.
We believe in continuous learning and understanding the various assessment tools that support Essential Skills building along with looking at ways to integrate Essential Skills into current programming. Working within employment services, we are united in our intent to assist each other in building effective tools and cases for Essential Skills integration that enhance learning and steer people toward self-reliance.
